Youth Driven Spaces Basics

Empower Youth Voice. Share the Mic. Shift the Power

In partnership with the Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP), we're inviting OST agencies across Michigan who serve older youth to participate in an introductory training in Youth Driven Spaces -- an engaging, interactive professional development experience that reimagines how youth and adults work together across programs and organizations.

This free, interactive, and virtual training will explore how to:

  • Design programs that activates young people's intrinsic motivation and engagement

  • Create programs and events that foster growth, leadership, and positive identity formation

  • Build youth–adult partnerships rooted in shared power and decision‑making.
