Restorative Practices are proactive and reactive strategies used to: build community, develop positive program/organization climate and culture, repair harm using non-punitive approaches, and reduce discipline.
Whether they're used in OST programs, schools, with friends, or at home, restorative practices center relationships - ultimately promoting connection and belonging.
Since 2017 the Neutral Zone has been training educators, youth worker, social workers and more in Restorative Practices, applying our youth driven framework to the content and training experience. Similar to youth driven practices, RP shares power, values the voices and experiences of others, and is an adaptive strategy for group work.
Registration is available to organizations in the 7-county region of SE Michigan. To ensure many organizations get access to this free training, there is a limit of four participants per organization.
This training is generously supported by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation .
