gain skills and knowledge to coach your organization and community in  youth driven practices.

The YDS Coaches Training will support 20-25 youth and adult community leaders from about 6-7 organizations across Southeast Michigan to develop their capacities to become Youth Driven Spaces (YDS) Coaches. Participants will engage in intensive training and practice-based opportunities to develop their training skills as trainers of  YDS practices, content, and strategies to mentor others. Participants will work to strengthen YDS practices in their own programs and organizations. 

The program will be structured over a five-month period, January to May 2027, with an orientation with guidance for adult advisors selecting 1-2 youth leaders, an overnight retreat March 20-21, a virtual training session April 10, and three virtual strategy calls woven throughout.
