DEADLINE: Youth Voter Engagement Poster Contest

  • Neutral Zone 310 E Washington St Ann Arbor United States (map)

The Neutral Zone, Washtenaw County Youth Commission, and the League of Women Voters of Washtenaw County are putting on a Youth Voter Engagement event on February 11th, 2024 at the Neutral Zone. The event will be a gathering of young people from Washtneaw County that are interested in promoting voting and democratic engagement. There will be screen printing, snacks, trivia, speakers, training on how to be a voting advocate, and entertainment! As a part of that event, we are also running a poster contest!

TO ENTER: Create a poster that encourages your peers to vote on a regular 8" x 11.5" piece of paper. Your poster might depict why voting/civic engagement is important to you, demonstrate the power of youth voters to create change, and/or show how voting can be fun and exciting.

RESTRICTIONS: The contest is restricted to youth participants. Your poster must be nonpartisan meaning it cannot advocate for a particular candidate or political party. If your poster does not meet this or any of the criteria, we may use the contact information you provided to discuss with you how you can fix those issues. Artwork needs to be originally created by the entrant with no use of graphics or copyrighted material captured from online sites.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Submit your information and poster to this form by January 28th at midnight. By submitting your poster, you agree to bring a physical copy of your poster to the event on February 11th.

PRIZES: Winners will be chosen based on a popular vote of attendees at the event on February 11th. First prize will get $50, second prize will get $30, and third prize will get $25.
