Position: Clinical Social Worker
Department: Programs
Reports to: Executive Director and Program Director
Hours/Week: Full-time (will consider .8FTE)
Appointment: Exempt
Position Summary: Support the mission of the organization to offer behavioral health programming, case management and therapy services for youth wellbeing. This is part of our continuum of care to provide treatment youth through clinical therapy, workshops, opportunities, resources and collaborative case management with the juvenile justice system. This is a new position requiring strong partnerships for youth who are justice involved. It requires initiative to develop new protocols and practices modalities of therapeutic support for healing.
Essential Functions:
Behavioral Health and Wellbeing Programs < 40 % of time> –
Design and co-lead weekly workshops at the Neutral Zone 2-3 days a week for justice impacted youth for social emotional wellbeing.
Design and co-lead monthly workshops for youth and families to participate in creative healing and connection workshops.
Support NZ program staff in creating and facilitating youth programming through a trauma-informed lens.
Support NZ special outreach, projects, and community events.
Clinical Therapy < 50 % of time> –
Collaborate with social workers and court caseworkers to jointly provide youth assessment with youth and families at their homes.
Work with partners to create and deliver a service plan for youth.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic care for youth, both individually and in a group setting.
Monitor and evaluate youth progress and adjust service plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation compliant with funders.
Advocate for clients’ needs and connect them to appropriate community resources and services.
Administration: < 10 % of time> – Responsible for a number of administrative duties and organizational responsibilities, including:
Provide monthly reports on youth progress towards meeting treatment goals and other reports for required funding.
Help develop, support, and track goals and objectives for programming impact and growth.
Attend weekly staff meetings for support and coordination and monthly all staff trainings for development and community.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Ability to assess and deliver evidence-based service plans.
Willing to see youth in their homes and communities.
Ability to provide consistent connection, care, and support for youth.
Empathy, cultural competence, and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment
Initiative to develop new tools, protocols and practices aligned with our program service model with the ability to adapt as needed.
Education, Qualifications, Credentials and Experience
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Current and valid clinical licensure, LMSW
A minimum of 2 years of supervised clinical experience
Experience serving diverse, youth populations with preference to youth in crisis, involved in the justice system, English learners, pregnant or parenting, with disabilities, and youth in crisis.
Experience delivering various evidence-based treatment modalities
A valid driver's license with access to a car
Preferred - ability to drive a 12-passenger van for programming supportive opportunities and services, willingness to attain a chauffer’s license.
Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 + benefits based on experience
