Hananiah Wiggins
Hananiah Wiggins (They, Them, Their) serves as the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Activism Coordinator at The Neutral Zone. They also have the privilege of working as the advisor of Neutral Zone’s “Activism through Arts” program and as the co-advisor for Neutral Zone’s Riot Youth, and serves as both a YDS and a restorative practices trainer.
Prior to joining Neutral Zone, Hananiah attended Illinois State University where they graduated with a degree in acting and competed for a nationally ranked speech and debate program. Following graduation, Hananiah moved to Chicago and coached the University of Illinois at Chicago’s speech team. The team used their platform to address a number of systemic inequities. In addition to their work as a coach, Hananiah performed at multiple Chicago based theatres such as the Playground theatre, The Annoyance Theatre, and the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Hananiah recently graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Masters Degree in Interpretation and Performance Studies.
