Literary Arts

With a notebook, pen, and a passion for writing, Neutral Zone Literary Arts Programs discovers the voice of young people through the written word. Amongst a community of creative writers, engaging workshops, and constant encouragement, everyone’s creative talents are realized.

Supported by the Anderson Foundation and the Julius Kass Family Foundation

Short Story Workshop, Fridays 4-6pm
Besides reading and critiquing stories, we write and write- trying out styles and techniques to find our voices as storytellers. Then we share our stories with the community through ample performance and publishing opportunities.

Volume Youth Poetry Project, Thursdays, 7-9pm
We meet weekly to write, critique and read our poetry with one another. In addition to writing and performing nationally recognized, award-winning poetry, we perform at local coffee shops, bookstores, and several large-scale community events.
