When we say Neutral Zone is youth-run, this is what we mean! TAC supports the organization by advocating on behalf of the programs to approve and evaluae programs, raising money and deciding how that money gets spent. It’s a big job but very satisfying and vital to the Neutral Zone!

Throughout the past year, T.A.C. has accomplished the following:

• Hosted Casino Royale, a community benefit for Neutral Zone to raise $3,574 in profits to support program grants and initiatives.

• Visited programs 3x during the year as program advocates to learn and support program needs.

• Supported Neutral Zone programs
o Granted $3,500 to the following projects- DJ workshops, Technots workshops, Benefit concert for B-Side, Darfur Benefit, artistic walls, and workshops w/Safe House and Planned Parenthood.
o Served as Program Advocates to connect, support, and advocate on behalf of Neutral Zone programs
o Evaluated the Neutral Zone programs through surveys, focus groups, and interviews.

• Hosted leadership building opportunities
o 12 teens attended a retreat at Camp Linden for leadership training and strategic planning.

• Hosted community service opportunities
o Hosted icebreaker games and community building for elementary age girls who participate in Girls on the Run.
