Teens write and write – trying out styles and techniques to find their voices as storytellers. The group’s stories are shared with the community through ample performance and publishing opportunities.
The City of Reality
On October 22, 2010, as part of their annual Fall lock-in, a group of 18 teenagers from the Neutral Zone Short Story Workshop created an imaginary landscape using post-it notes, craft supplies, and three bagfuls of recycled doodads from The Scrap Box. They collectively dubbed this imaginary city “Reality” and began creating stories about the characters who lived there.
