Weapons Of Musical Diversity Concert Series: Tumbao Bravo and the Reggaeton Dance PartyFriday, May 16, 7pm The last installment of this year’s Weapons of Musical Diversity concert series at the Neutral Zone. The hot Cuban combo Tumbao Bravo features seven veteran Detroit jazz and salsa musicians exploring the authentic rhythms of mambos, cha chas, rumbas, and boleros. Tumbao Bravo won the 2005 Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Jazz Recording for their debut release, Montuno Salad. Tumbao Bravo’s live set will be followed by a Reggaeton DJ Dance Party. The WMD concert series is sponsored by Borders. 7 p.m. at the Neutral Zone, 310 E. Washington Street. Admission is free and open to all ages. |
